We have to use a vector image for cutting the vinyl. We create the vinyl with a Roland GX-24 cutter, to which we send the artwork from proprietary software on our computer. Vector formats accepted are Illustrator CS2, EPS, and PDF. If you must send a raster format, please do so in 300 dpi, in actual print size, although those files may become very large. We can then vectorize the artwork for you at no additional charge, unless it needs extensive work to become a vector format. Designs need to be solid colors, text or shapes. Tell us exactly how big you want the design to be cut. Please measure your laptop lid and be sure of the dimensions you specify.

Very fine detail and small text may not cut well. We reserve the right to turn down artwork that would be too difficult or impossible to cut well. If there are significant problems during the cutting, we may cancel the order, or request different artwork. Highly detail pieces that take a long time to prepare may incur an additional charge, but this is rare.
